I’m Dr. Zofia Czajkowska. I am a licenced psychologist (member of the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec) and the founder of Harmony Clinic. I’m passionate about bringing a sense of meaning and satisfaction into people’s lives. I got my BA, MA and PhD in psychology from McGill University. I have clinical training and work experience from the McGill University Counselling Service, Royal Victoria Hospital’s CBT unit (in depression, anxiety and adult ADHD clinics) as well as the Sex and Couple Therapy Service. I have also worked for the First Episode of Psychosis Program at the Jewish General Hospital. I’m truly passionate about my work and I’m always striving to stay on top of most recent research and clinical training. To this end I have attended 20+ scientific conferences just in the last few years, both as a presenter and an avid learner.
I provide psychotherapy for individuals and couples, including treatment for matters concerning mood (anxiety and depression), sexuality, perinatal mental health (issues surrounding fertility, pregnancy and post-partum period), coping with difficult life transitions (e.g., grief, romantic breakup, loss of employment, etc.) as well as insomnia, low energy, difficulties with concentration and motivation.
In providing psychotherapy I use an integrative approach combining scientifically proven to work therapeutic modalities (Cognitive-Behavior Therapy – CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy – ACT, Dialectic-Behavior Therapy – DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy – SFT, Emotion-Focused Therapy – EFT) in the humanistic, existential atmosphere. These forms of therapies focus on achieving a tangible change in your life in the way you feel, relate to yourself and others (e.g., improved self-esteem, assertiveness and sense of control) and in a way your life is structured (to provide you with more satisfying day-to-day experiences).
You can expect action-based solutions along with increased self-knowledge and sense of meaning, purpose and satisfaction in your life all in the context of a transparent, warm, honest and supportive relationship.
