As a psychologist, my goal is to help you overcome the challenges you are facing, better understand yourself, and feel capable of experiencing the full spectrum of your emotions. I believe that there are no unacceptable emotions or thoughts. However, when we do not understand their root causes or struggle to experience them in the moment, they can lead to greater suffering and unhelpful behaviours. I am dedicated to offering a warm, genuine, and empathetic space to explore even the most difficult and estranged emotional experiences, so we may work through them together. My aim is to help you cultivate your own self-understanding and support you in creating a meaningful life that aligns with your personal values and sense of self.
To achieve this, I use an integrative approach where I tailor my interventions to your specific needs by using various evidence-based therapeutic frameworks including Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive-Behavioural-Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, mindfulness strategies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychology of the Self and Systemic Therapies. In therapy, my style is open, attentive, curious, and creative, aiming to deeply understand and address a range of complex human experiences.
I provide psychotherapy, in French and in English, for both individuals and couples, experiencing a range of challenges with mood, anxiety, emotion regulation, self-esteem, life transitions, interpersonal problems, trauma, attachment, communication difficulties, conflict management, intimacy, and sex.
In addition to working at Harmony Clinic, I also work at the Douglas in the bipolar clinic and at the Montréal University Clinic (CSCP). Previously, I worked at the Allan Memorial Institute at the Sex and Couple Therapy Service and Anxiety Clinic, as part of my clinical training. In addition to my clinical work, I engage in teaching activities through giving courses and hosting workshops.
As for my academic background, I completed a psychology doctorate degree (Psy.D.) at UQÀM where I was trained with an openness to different theoretical approaches. I also completed a Bachelor’s in Psychology (B.Sc.) at Concordia University, as well as a Master in Psychology (M.Sc.) specialized in clinical psychology and affective sciences, at the University of Geneva, in Switzerland.
When working with me, you can expect emotional guidance through overwhelming life challenges, increased self-awareness, a sense of self-efficacy, and a greater feeling of harmony within yourself.
