I am therapist with a master’s degree in counselling psychology from Yorkville University. In my training at PsyMontréal, I gained experience working with a range of clients facing anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship challenges, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and addiction. Beginning with the belief that each person has the capacity to heal and grow, I offer a helping hand while drawing on evidence-based interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other mindfulness-based approaches.
Above all, I bring empathy, non-judgment and genuine interest into all my sessions. I strive to create a comfortable and trusting environment where my clients feel respected and heard. Working collaboratively, I help to identify and pursue goals that enhance coping and increase purpose in life. I have experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and welcome anyone into my sessions.
Prior to entering the mental health space, I was an academic historian. I earned my PhD in history from the University of Oxford, where I also taught undergraduates. I have lived and conducted research in several countries, including the UK and India. These experiences inform my curiosity about people and my attention to detail.
